Alastair Cook is a prominent name in the poetry film world. He works predominantly with video and photography to explore communities undergoing significant transformation and to consider the relationship between individuals and the landscapes they occupy. He is currently the artist in residence at Kaunas Photography Gallery, Lithuania, supported by Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow. Alastair is founder of Documenting Britain and Filmpoem. Filmpoem is an artists’ moving image project founded by him in 2010, committed to delivering education and community projects as well as producing and promoting the work of poets, filmmakers and composers.
